WHAT IS SCIENCE OF MIND?

Science of Mind is both a practical spiritual system and a mystical approach to your soul’s growth. Through your increased awareness of spiritual principles and the practice of sacred thought and meditation, you can improve the quality of your life. As a science, Science of Mind uses specific principles consistent with the discoveries of the great scientists of the world. You learn to apply spiritual and psychological techniques in a scientific manner to expand your thinking and, as a result, your experiences. As a philosophy, Science of Mind is a down to earth, easily applied, and practical way of thinking about the nature of the universe and your relationship to it. As you come to understand yourself as an individual connected to a larger, loving spiritual presence, you are free to express the unlimited potential within you. As a religion, Science of Mind is a metaphysical expression of universal truths. It is free of dogma and superstition, which crushes the human spirit. It is straightforward in its approach to life, using reason, logic and an appreciation of the mystical. It is a teaching of mind and of heart; a teaching for modern people in a modern world.

 
HOW DO WE DIFFER FROM OTHER RELIGIONS?

Science of Mind teaches that there is one infinite Spirit, or God; that God is Infinite, containing within It all that exists. God is All There Is. You are a part of the expression of God as a part of an unfolding Universe. Therefore, all that exists is Divine in nature – including you. You direct your experience by means of your thoughts and beliefs. Your thoughts and beliefs produce happiness to the degree that they are in harmony with Divine Truth, which says that there is an Infinite Loving Presence which infuses all that exists and desires only the best for It’s creation. You have absolute free will as to how to direct your thought by means of the unconditional love of God. Like every individual, you must find your own personal path to the full realization of this Divine connection. The role of religion is to help you to awaken to your own spiritual magnificence. This is best accomplished by directing you inward toward your own loving heart.

Ministerial counseling practitioners provide healing prayer services and are available for those seeking additional assistance and support.

PRACTICAL IDEAS FOR LIVING – Our Science of Mind classes help hundreds to create lives of quality, value, and joy. Our Spirit@Work business group helps you to bring spiritual principles to the work place in order to enhance the quality of your career and work life. Our support groups provide the tools to live a fully functioning life, whatever the issue that is currently holding you back.

RAISING SPIRITUALLY CENTERED CHILDREN – The Youth and Family Center at Religious Science Fort Lauderdale is an oasis of love and support for children and youth of all ages. Nursery school, youth education, and our teen group foster self-esteem and spiritual identity in our children. In these times, it may be just the difference that triggers a positive direction in your child.
